Allan Opera House Weddings Available from 1 May Through 15 October

Wedding packages with a romantic and rustic theme are available at the Allan Opera House. Five professionals from the Jo Daviess County area have combined their expertise in developing these economic and special packages. The basic packages include price of the minister, catering, floral arrangements, gratuities and the facilities - the Allan Opera House. Optional selections include a stagecoach or buggy ride to the park for pictures, a wedding dance as well assistance in choosing the photographer and the band, if music is desired.
Or if you wish, customize your wedding and select your own caterer, minister or/and florist. Prices will be altered accordingly.

The wedding ceremony will take place in center stage of the historic Allan Opera House, surrounded as "theatre-in-the-round" by your loving guests. After the ceremony, the party transists into the cocktail party or buffet reception, and followed, if desired, by a wedding dance, all in the same area. The Allan Opera House is where dancing belongs, with the band or DJ in the center of the dance floor, or onstage, whichever is preferred. If desired, we will help you in choosing the band or DJ, no matter of the type of music such as Big Band, Civil War, Country, Disco, 60's Rock and Roll, or whatever you may choose.
We specialize in a rustic and romantic experience, that is affordable in nature and embellished by the historic surroundings with the walls echoing from years of tradition. Theme weddings are supported and encouraged, from Roaring 20's, the Gangster 30's era, Civil War inspired, Country or, of course, traditional and contemporary. A User Agreement must be signed at the time of facility reservation.

The Wedding Professionals:
Reverend Dawn Morby is a non-denominational minister. The ceremony can be Traditional, Contemporary or Custom developed. The ceremony as well as reception, meal and dance (if desired) is conveniently held in one location, the historic James Allan Opera House build in 1875. Catering is provided by Sandy Smith and Peggy Karlow of Hay Day catering. Several meal options are available depending on whether you wish a Cocktail Party atmosphere or a buffet style meal. If the wedding couple desires something completely different, this can be negotiated with Hay Day Catering. 50% of the Catering cost must be provided at the date of reservation. All Floral arrangements will be provided by the Elizabeth Market Floral Market. This will include centerpieces for the tables, bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen, toss bouquet and corsages and boutonnieres for parents and special people. One of three standard floral packages can be chosen. Alternate plans can of course be negotiated. A $100 unrefundable deposit is required when the floral order is placed. An estimate of the price of a Basic Package is simple to obtain. The wedding couple needs to answer the following questions : • How many people will attend the wedding? • Either cocktail party or buffet catering? • Choice of floral arrangement? • How many in the wedding party? • How many hours to reserve the facilities? These costs listed are for the standard services listed. Of course you can alter menus, floral arrangements, etc... and cost adjustments will be provided.
